Polk's House

First time trying and the food was so good! I’ll be back for sure. We got the fried catfish with Mac and cheese and green beans. Fried pork chops with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese all delicious

Good food, friendly people, i went for the first time today and got pork chops and it was really good. I ordered cake but they forgot to put it in the bag so double check before you leave:) great place and I'll go back

Polk House should be a five star all the way around. Atmosphere well there is none. It is truly a hole in the wall, which is what makes it unique and special now, I want to start with the service you’re talking about polite, well mannered people they are so friendly and extremely kind. They have different food items on the menu daily. The food is delicious. The prices are reasonable. We had catfish and honey wings with macaroni, baked beans, and cabbage..

It's a small place, a little hole in the wall place, but those kinds of places pack a punch in a major way when it comes to taste and selection. First time checking it out but it was great, and I would definitely suggest it, I had the roast beef, cabbage and mashed potatoes and gravy. It was delicious tastes like Grandma did it. Black owned business and would definitely give it flowers . Imma make sure I give him a shout-out on my radio station Texoma BMG Hot 92. If you guys haven't checked it out, definitely suggest it. From Lawton and checked out the reviews and took a try on it leaving the city. It's a must go!!

We got another one y’all this food is 10 out of 10 service 10 out of 10. Even the presentation, the warmth of the food it’s not even made to order and it’s still taste so fresh so good they want me over today. I got a pork chop meatloaf with a side of Black Eyed Peas and a corn on the cob and I have no complaints. Polks house might not look like much from the outside or the inside but best believe you’re going to get some genuine down south cooking in this establishment very respectful workers quick service I will be back

I’ve been a regular for years and they haven’t missed a beat! The best soul food in OKC with huge portions and reasonable prices. I’m there almost every Sunday and can’t say that I’ve had anything bad. Wonderful family owned establishment with great customer service!

Went by there bc it’s close to the hospital I could smell it as I was going to bobos chicken…but the smell was incredible as I drove by so I had to stop and wasn’t disappointed I had some amazing pork chops with Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes! Soooooo good! I had it last night and waiting for them to open at 6:30 so I can go again! Not the biggest place so you will have to take it Togo but it’s so worth it!

Was supposed to open at 6pm, but opened late. I had to stand outside in the freezing cold. Finally, I called, someone answered and hung up. I called right back, someone answered the phone and greeted me politely. I told them I was cold from standing outside. Instead of saying one moment please, they just hung up the phone and came to the door and let me in??????? They opened up all those dusty blinds right in front of the food. If didn't enjoy their food so much, I would have went elsewhere. After opening late, only half the food was prepared/ready. I was charged $42 I had a steak plate and a hot honey wing plate. The wings were pricey, but good. The steak was good too.
